The Spirit of the Masked Dancers: An Expose at Montreal City Hall
The Montreal City Hall celebrated The Black History Month on February 15, 2012 with an exposition of photographs of African masked dancers.
Mme. Mary Deros – City Councilor of Parc-Extension; A member of the Executive Committee of La Ville de Montréal, responsible for Cultural Communities and Youth; President of the urban planning committee of the borough of Villeray-St-Michel-Parc-Extension – did the inauguration of the exposition.
Mme. Louise Harel – Leader of Vision Montréal; and the Leader of Official Opposition of the City of Montreal – was also present at the event.
Photography and production was done by Claude Gauthier, the photographer.
Artistic direction was done by Guy Mushagalusa, gallery owner –
For Claude and Guy, the photograph is the quintessential short film capable of telling infinite stories. It is their hope that this exhibition will release these bright dancing spirits into people’s hearts and inspire exhilarating discoveries.
